Break through the tension of concrete

The Urban Garden is a sculpture design competition that integrates the city landscape with the character of nature in the medium of steel. The design combines organic shapes with geometric patterns that rhythmically fit into structured letterforms.

The colour scheme is inspired by neon lights on a rainy night in a metropolitan city.

Supporting elements in the form of fractal linear patterns represent the fluidity of forms in nature merged with the structured repetition and tension from steel.

I explored the beauty of the city into a lineal pattern that could be repeated and beautified in time and across all instances.
